We have been doing really well lately. McKinley passed off all of her letters and sounds at school so they had a special celebration for her and that was cool. She also had picture day at school and she has been doing a lot better with drop offs and seeming to really learn a lot and enjoy herself at school so I’m glad that we stuck with it. She still wants to do homeschool next year, though. Anyway, she made this cute leprechaun at school.
Our St. Patrick’s Day, this year was such a blast! They had a green bath, we made several crafts, learned about the history of the holiday, Saint Patrick himself, Ireland, in general, and then we made a trap for a leprechaun. And we also read three children’s books about St. Patrick’s Day. And we didn’t catch him, but he broke out of the trap and left them glitter and candy on the counter and some gold streamers hanging down from the ceiling so they thought that was really cool. And then later on that day, we noticed that there was a clue inside the trap and it sent us on a scavenger hunt around the house and Cooper did a really good job reading the clues and then McKinley helped us find them and then at the end the leprechaun had left them both a puzzle so it was really fun.
One of the crafts we made was decorating toilet paper rolls because they were used as special leprechaun, spying monoculars lol
We had amazing weather that day so this was the afternoon and they were just hanging out
Cooper wants a cat so badly he told our neighbor “we will give you our dogs so that we can have a cat lol
He likes to take selfies to see that his new teeth are growing in where he lost the others. It’s so cute because when he sees people he always says hi I’m Cooper Look. I lost my teeth lol

We went to the curiosity museum, and they did so amazingly well at compromising and following the directions and resolving their own disagreements without me and they also both practiced being independent for short burst of time as well, so that was magnificent. And McKinley enjoyed the water enough that she was soaking wet and so after she went to the bathroom, she didn’t want to put her wet clothes back on and they have signs hanging up all over the place that clothes must be worn at all times, lol probably for the same exact reason and so I just took off my sweater cause I was wearing a shirt underneath and then carried her out of there and an enormous sweater dress lol
It was perfect timing that the theme was curious George because curiosity was the attribute that week

This was us at the special ceremony. She was overwhelmed to have everyone looking at her, and so it made her emotional and shy, and she wasn’t sure how she felt about it, which makes sense.
It was also picture day that same day and the school called and said hey we know you’re already coming for that ceremony thing so can you come just a few minutes early because we cannot get her to take a picture lol so I just brought some candy and said I would take one with her and then she would have to do it without me and then have some candy and she did awesome and she looked so cute in that outfit and with her curly hair and stuff that I cannot wait for the pictures! This is probably gonna be the first and only time that I actually purchased school pictures lol in the past, I just have taken a screenshot of the proof that they sent me in the email and then call it good
I know I’m biased but I think she’s the cutest little girl I’ve ever seen
