cutest school pictures ever!

the price i paid for these photos is 😳  astonishing. but they plaster the watermark all over everything and you cant even get a screenshot and then if you want more than one picture they make you buy the most expensive package. crooks i tell ya, because i can't see these and not buy them!

Such amazing weather! 

after this we had some cold but we've had a lot of really great weather days the past couple months. it was amazing just chillin' outside for a couple hours. sometimes our life feels so "gogogo" so this was such a nice relaxing day

she has been having such a hard time with dance so we tried a different thing where i drop her off instead of staying and then if she followed directions the whole time she got candy after so this is her so happy and proud because she did it! iwas so proud of her too

my mom visited and brought him his birthday present and he was in love its the fireman accessories he's had his eye on forever so he was so excited to play firefighter in the front yard and it was so cute that he took off his shirt to do it and was spraying water on the lawn and stuff.it was fun. also i love how the view out our back windows looks in this picture!  🤩 

i love our homeschool way of life. being able to spend all this time wtih both of them and watch them grow and learn so much has been the ultimate joy of my life. i can't even express how much i love it and soemtimes i wish i could freeze time in the best moments wehn they happen

for some reason this park trip was one of them. the kids were doing imaginative play cooperatively and it was amazing to watch their creativity and compromising for each other and laughing and having the best time and the weather was incredible and i love that this tiny park is in our neighborhood and the beautiful view of the mountains 

Sleepovers

yet another sign of their bond. i'm jealous. seriously they're best friends and do everything together im so thankful/glad/impressed because thyere already able to share, problem solve, comfort each other, see eachother s perspectives and help each other and care and stuff i could go on all day.

i've been perplexed as to how or why or when this relationship came about and also his sudden ability to sleep upstairs. Its been amazing 🤩 

 

some nights have been very hard. there has been screaming and coming downstairs to just go back up and trying the doorknob cover again or moving him to his room or the. loft or whatever. she came in and turned the light on at 3 am last night. but i will absolutely take all the down sides because all the up sides are incredible for so many reasons. if they want to make this permanent and share a room i will do it in a heartbeat

repercussions of the sleepovers...

they play for hours or wake each other up in the night so there is less sleep and then they sleep during the day

so my strategy has been to keep everyone awake all day so they will sleep at night 

Easter egg hunt!

OMG this was so fun we have themost fun neighborhood ever i love it! my neighbor just did it all on her own and so im so thankful she was willing to put that much work into it

coopers strategy was to collect the golden eggs and that was a good strategy because they had 2 dollar bills in them! 

we had donuts and muffins ever ! it was amazing!

cooper shared a negative memory from this same park from way back in august. he was sitting there with dallin and just opened up about it and i thought that was so good that he felt loved and supported enough to just share what was on his mind. and then i sat dwon by him and he said "it's so nice to be here together." as if he was realizing that event doesnt' have to define this place and he can move on from it. i am so impressed with his resilience 

of course the ax needs to be in the family photo 😂 

said, cooper mckinlye and i dyed fake eggs together it was so fun and mckinley carreid them around for days even slept with them

school stuff

They were so interested and excited when we got to watch the rocket ship taking off and it immediately inspired them afterward to paint a picture of a rocket ship taking off I thought that was so cute. And I was also impressed with their attention span because it was so hard for them, but they watched for six minutes until that thing finally took off so it doesn’t sound like a lot of time, but that was torturous for them and it made me realize how little I know about rocket science because they kept asking me questions like what’s that or why are they doing that and I just said I don’t know to everything lol I guess it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise that I don’t know rocket science ha ha ha ha 

He likes using his new bug catcher that he got for his birthday. One day a neighbor was walking across the street and I said hi to her and I introduced her. This is my son Cooper and he immediately yelled. Hi! I just caught a spider! Lol.

This was us cracking up a geode! The kids were both really into it at first, and then after Cooper saw the inside. It was almost like the mysteries over that’s not as cool anymore. Then McKinley stayed being really into it longer than he did.

So we did perceptive moments as our tree attribute and I think that one was really good for them and now this next one we’re doing is positivity

Easter cuties

kid fit! He did so amazing! I told him if he followed all the directions he would get a doughnut and he totally did! It was amazing to see him playing Freeze tag with the other kids

This was our last day with our occupational therapist Sage. She has been awesome so we will miss her, but I’m sure our next one will be good too.

i love that her teacher will send me videos and pics sometimes. her teacher is a sweetheart and mckinley loves her too she says "i miss miss allen" when i pick her up and she said "i want to stay so that miss allen can teach me to be a great writer!" lol

when i picked her up she was elated to show me all the eggs and the bag she made. She got stickers and put them on her face and then said take my picture

i am bummed that haircut i recently took her to was not only over-priced but also she cut her bangs wayyyyy too short
